My husband is from Kinshasa, DRC and inspired my love for Ankara fabrics. We want to provide every woman the opportunity to feel just as fabulous as I do, without breaking the bank! We believe in quality over quantity, so each and every piece is hand made and stitched to perfection.
We LOVE to help people who are at a disadvantage, achieve their goals and reach their dreams. A substantial portion of the profits received from Madame Kasongo clothing will go to do just that. We aim to afford scholarships to disadvantaged African American girls in Southern California for post secondary education. We also want to assist Women and children in the DRC that are in adverse circumstances due to sexual violence and extreme poverty. My goal in the future is to provide jobs/training in sewing and tailoring to the communities of DRC incorporating other necessary skills that will impart a healthy positive life for themselves and their family.
